Background to the exhibition

This exhibition is only a sample of a larger collection of photographs depicting an alternative view of London. I have been working on this collection for the past five years, either in the way of commissions or as a result of my personal interest in architectural photography.

The collection is an attempt to deconstruct the integral parts of London's architectural language. I am interested fundamentally in the iconic qualities of each landmark, and therefore in their representational value.

On the whole the collection aims to celebrate London's diversity and complexity both as a city and as a multicultural entity.
